Andrew Coates

Andrew Coates is a proud lifelong resident of the West Ward in the City of Orange Township. His education was shaped right here in our community—first at Lincoln Avenue Elementary School, then at Orange Preparatory Academy, and finally he graduated from Orange High School. Now, as a recent college graduate, he is running to serve on the Orange School Board, determined to bring a fresh perspective and bold leadership to our schools as ONE for Orange.
This community raised him; these schools shaped him. And today, Andrew is stepping forward to give back — to serve, to lead, and to be a strong voice for our students, our families, and our educators.
Andrew knows firsthand both the promise and the pressure that lives in our classrooms. He has walked the same hallways our students walk today. He has felt the power of teachers who believed in him, and he’s seen the challenges our schools continue to face. And now Andrew brings a fresh perspective — one that puts students at the center and focuses on what’s possible when we go from “Good to Great”.
He believes that being new to the professional world gives him an advantage. Andrew is bringing new energy, new ideas, and a deep commitment to getting things done the right way.
Andrew’s vision is rooted in the belief that when schools thrive, communities thrive and this requires leaders who listen, learn, and act. He is committed to listening, learning, and collaborating with educators, families, and students to make informed, and successful decisions. Andrew’s approach is about putting both students and the community at the center of every decision about education. His campaign is about creating a future where students feel heard, supported, and prepared for life beyond graduation.
Andrew humbly asks for your support to be your voice on the School Board and for your help in building a stronger, brighter future for every student in our district as ONE for Orange.
